September 1938 von den Regierungschefs Großbritanniens, Frankreichs, Italiens und des Deutschen Reiches unterzeichnet, die zur Lösung der Sudetenkrise zur Münchner Konferenz (29. September) im Münchner Führerbau am Königsplatz zusammengekommen waren. Vertreter der Tschechoslowakei waren nicht eingeladen. (wikipedia)   ---   VARIOUS ARTISTS RUINES & VANITÉS Meidosem   Ten years on and Trinity zine goes for a well deserved anniversary release. Opening with their own clomping version of COLLECTION d’ARNELL-ANDREA’s ‘Sombres Plis De l’Âme’, beauty turned terse and some deft sub-Goth from MÉMORIES d’AUTOMNE in ‘Time Of The End.’ O QUAM TRISTIS are fairly dour, glowering during the deflated liturgical feel of ‘Anno Mense Die’, while ENDRAUM are delightfully mellow and enigmatic throughout the subtle, roving ‘Entatme Sans Haleine’ remix. A Zfactory mix of CURTAIN’s ‘Urbain Disease’ concentrates on blistered guitar coruscating through the pained posit-punk with a gleam in its filthy eye.   CINDYTALK crunch and clatter throughout the ugly ambient excess of a jumbled ‘Canto’, which is surprisingly painful to listen to, and so blissfully on to the gentle patter of DIE PUPPE’s ‘A Little Kind Of Death’ and it’d be a strange person who didn’t find regard them like an indie Kas Product and the brightly subterranean pop of MARTIN DUPONT’s ‘Top Of The Pyramids’ is equally perky and interesting. MORTHEM VLADE ART surge through the triumphant dark waves of ‘The Worm’, while the delicate synth and bulging bass of OPERA MUTLI STEEL’s ‘Par Ici Où l’homme Trépasse’ makes for a smooth indie balm.   SEVEN PINES are curious with their droopy guitar and swooping historical vocal malady in ‘Dans Mon Beau Jardin.’ HIDE & SEEK idle away their time sweetly during the blissfully pretty ‘Etats d’Âme’ and the filmic neo-classicial of N.L.C.’s ‘Scrapbook’ is oddly familiar. ATARAXIA pull you into the slipstream of the gorgeously tumbling ‘Temenos’ as its crushes and burns, with keys pounding and vocals pushing.
